Data shows that employee engagement is on the rise, however still only 34% of today's workforce can be categorized as actively engaged. An engaged employee will not only contribute toward a healthy organizational culture, they will help drive growth and opportunity. Join us for a half day workshop that will focus on human capital, your most valuable asset.

As a participant, you will learn:

  • How to develop a strong hiring strategy 
  • The difference between an employee that is actively engaged, not engaged, and actively disengaged and what it means for your organization 
  • Methods to improve organizational communication and create recognition initiatives

Instructor: Jim Moody, Program Manager, Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership

Jim Moody, Program Manager for the Edyth Bush Institute, is responsible for custom training and education. This includes working with new and existing clients to coordinate specialized instruction in the nonprofit areas of board governance, fundraising, leadership, volunteer management and more.

Jim has 10 years of senior level management experience in nonprofit management, both in Florida and New York. His professional areas of expertise include operations, board development, fundraising, and leading turnaround / start-up organizations.  Jim graduated from Northeastern Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Theology. He also has two Bachelor of Science Degrees; in Administrative Management and Community Leadership & Development. He is also a graduate of Cornell University’s Leadership Institute for Non-Profit Executives.      

Jim served for 6 years on a public school Board of Education and with the New York Department of Education, State Rehabilitation Council. When not working, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and church, reading, and watching baseball.

Instructor: Jamie Hollis, Program Manager, Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership

Jamie Hollis is the Program Manager at the Edyth Bush Institute responsible for overseeing open enrollment programs and Certificate programs.

Jamie has served over 10 years in nonprofit leadership, with a focus on program management, strategic partnerships, and performance management. She has provided national and local training and consultation to nonprofits, government agencies, and area businesses. Using a collaborative and practical approach, she has assisted organizations in strengthening their business practices by applying data driven solutions.

Jamie holds a Bachelor's in psychology from Bradley University, and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
