Today's environment where a pandemic makes funding challenging, unrestricted donations is more important than ever. This is in your annual fund!

In this highly interactive workshop, you will learn strategies to start and sustain an annual fund campaign. Creating a successful annual fund campaign will generate reliable unrestricted income, develop a base of loyal donors, and position your organization for major gifts, capital campaigns and planned giving.

The annual fund is an organized effort to obtain gifts on a yearly basis to support, at least in part, general operations of a nonprofit organization.

The annual fund often represents a large percentage of a nonprofit organization's income and is designed to acquire, renew, and grow financial support primarily from individual donors.  

This workshop addresses beginning to intermediate level instruction for annual fund campaigns. Seasoned fundraising professionals may see this as a refresher course. 

The workshop is an elective option for the Certificate in Fundraising and Development.

Workshop Dates and Times:

September 3, 2020; 9-15am-12:15pm, *Office hours: 1:15pm-4:15pm 

*Please note office hours will provide participants with individual consultation time with the instructor.

  • Roles and responsibilities of staff and volunteers
  • Strategies to strengthen the case for support
  • Effective annual giving strategies and role of social media
  • Goal setting and evaluating results
  • Ways to minimize donor attrition through effective stewardship

Instructor: Alyce Lee Stansbury, CFRE, President, Stansbury Consulting

Alyce Lee Stansbury, CFRE, Founder & President of Stansbury Consulting, is a 25 year fundraising veteran and seasoned advisor in nonprofit management and board development. During her fundraising career, she has raised millions of dollars and established successful development programs for local, regional and statewide organizations. As President of Stansbury Consulting, she has helped her clients secure million dollar gifts, grow fundraising results by over 200%, and exceed campaign goals by 45%. Ms. Stansbury teaches a graduate course in fundraising at Florida State University, is an instructor at the Rollins College Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center, and co-writes a weekly newspaper column called “Notes on Nonprofits”.  A Certified Fund Raising Professional since 2002, Ms. Stansbury is also a Certified Master Trainer in Fundraising. She is past President of the Big Bend chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the chapter’s first recipient of the Outstanding Fund Raising Professional Award. She is actively involved in helping to establish a nonprofit resource center in Tallahassee, Florida.
