How diversified is your fundraising? Is most of your funding coming from grants or special events?

Risk and reward. A diversified fundraising plan helps to protect your organization from changes in the funding environment. This workshop will stress the need for a multi-faceted approach to fundraising -- a plan that goes beyond events and grants with an eye toward creating a comprehensive and holistic revenue stream that enhances sustainability.

Participants will analyze different fundraising vehicles and how to maximize each so they provide long-term continual funding from a variety of sources.

You will learn:

  • Why nonprofit organizations need a diversified fundraising plan
  • How to create a diversified fundraising plan
  • How to evaluate your fundraising plan

Cost: $80 members, $160 non-members (Scholarships available)

Instructors: Jessa Heisey, CFRE

Jessa Heisey offers 19 years of fundraising and development expertise.  Jessa’s primary knowledge is in board governance, fundraising, proposal writing and event management.  She has served as the Director of Development for both Children’s Home Society in Orlando (CHS) and A Gift for Teaching as well as a senior grant writer for CHS.  Jessa also consults with organizations seeking assistance to develop strategic plans to jumpstart their annual fund.

Jessa holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Central Florida, Crummer Management Certificate from Rollins College, Certificate in Fund Development from Indiana University Fundraising School and is a Leadership Orlando Class ‘64 graduate. 

Jessa holds the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation.  She volunteers weekly at Sabal Point Elementary, running a Fellowship of Christian Athletes club with 100+ students and teaching monthly art history lessons in the classroom.  In her leisure time she enjoys discovering the next best restaurant in Central Florida and traveling with her husband and two daughters.
