Measuring for Success: Program Evaluation Series

What difference do your programs make in the lives of the clients you serve? How successful are your programs at meeting their intended goals? How often do you measure impact of service delivery? If you have any problems answering these questions, then please join us for the Measuring for Success series. This series is designed to provide a practical approach to Evaluation.

Everyday non-profit agencies are working hard to provide clients the very best services, in hope of enhancing and strengthening their lives, and resolving the obstacles and challenges they face. However in today's economy there is less money available to support our programs, and a much greater need. To be competitive for funding it is important for agencies to be able to demonstrate the impact of their programs. Measuring for Success is a two part series where you will learn the benefit of Evaluation, create outcome statements that truly reflect the difference your programs make, identify how to measure your programs, create a plan for implementing evaluation, and learn what to do with your results.

Session I: Outcome Based Evaluations Process
In this first session we will review the benefit of incorporating Evaluation into your organization's operations. You will learn how you can be the catalyst in establishing realistic measurements that are respectful of your agency's clients, while also providing quantifiable data that reflects the difference your programs make. In addition, in this class you will practice writing outcome statements and begin to explore how to create a realistic reporting model for your programs.

Session II: Measuring Your Programs
The second session will offer you the opportunity to become familiar with how to measure your outcomes. The focus will be on identifying your program performance standards, also known as indicators. It isn't always easy to quantify social service programs, but through this process you will learn to take the big concepts driving your mission and turn them into concrete measures that allow you to demonstrate funding ready success.

Tuition: $160 members, $320 non-members.
(includes Session I and Session II)
