Learn how to tell a great story whether in 140 characters, web copy, a pitch to donors, or a PowerPoint presentation. Reaching your audience across a variety of platforms requires clarity of brand and compelling storytelling.  You’ll learn the structure of a great story and how you can use these techniques to share your organization’s purpose.

Come away with:

  • Tools  that you can share with your team, board members and volunteers to help make them better brand ambassadors.
  • Techniques for telling a great story, and a way to find your organization’s most compelling stories.
  • An understanding of how to read your audience and how to connect with them to share the purpose and needs of your organization.

Instructor: Alice Fairfax

An inspirational writer and improv storyteller & actor, Alice Fairfax shares the funny and amazing stories from parenting Henry her adult son who has autism and is a talk show host (henryandhismom.com). Think Anne LaMott and Bette Midler raising the offspring of Rainman and David Letterman. The author of The Creative Life, Alice holds a certificate in Creativity & Innovation from the Walt Disney Company and Harvard Business School Publishing and an undergraduate degree from Rollins College, where she was an Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award recipient. A Walt Disney World Resort Cast member for over 15 years, Alice entertained thousands of Guests and facilitated Traditions for hundreds of new cast members. Currently, Alice leads trainings for executives, nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs on the creative process, storytelling, and how to manage transition, based on her next book Top Ten Autism Life Hacks That Will Change Your Life
