The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation (ORRF) invites applications from qualified, competent, knowledgeable, and experienced development individuals and/or firms (“Director”) that will provide professional services to raise funds for the foundation.



The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA) is one of the largest trade associations in the state of Florida and has more than 10,500 members located in Orange, Seminole, and surrounding counties.

The Orlando Regional Realtor Foundation. (ORRF), is a public 501c3 charitable organization originally established by the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association in 2005 to develop, implement and manage the charitable activities of the association. The foundation’s primary areas of focus include:

  1. Providing the leadership and support to address Central Florida’s critical need for affordable, workforce housing.
  2. To support those initiatives which enhance the quality of life within Florida communities.
  3. To support professional and educational opportunities for the real estate practitioner.

Scope of Work:


The professional(s) we seek should have the focus, experience, timely follow-up, superb communication skills with prospects and donors, as well as strong direction for annual solicitations and capital campaigns. They should bring a successful track record in fundraising and they should have great familiarity with Orlando and Central Florida area philanthropists.  


This contract should be considered part-time, with an estimated average of 20 hours per week. General days and hours of work will occur Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work weeks are likely to fluctuate depending on activities scheduled. Evening and weekend hours may be required as well. Compensation for contracted services will range from $3,000 to $3,500 per month depending upon qualifications, experience and contract terms.


The Director will be an independent contractor with an initial contract running through December 31, 2018.    

Development/Fundraising Duties:

  1. Assists in long-term strategic planning for the foundation.
  2. Design and implementation of a comprehensive development program and appropriate marketing strategies.
  3. Work collaboratively with staff and board members to identify, define and acquire funding resources available to the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation, from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  4. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with individual and institutional donors.
  5. Prepare and oversee the creation of fundraising materials, including letters, brochures, digital media, website, annual reports, narrative reports, profiles, prospect alerts, charts, graphs, etc.
  6. Provide newsletter and website content on donors, and profile key donors in various ORRF publications.
  7. Develop and track proposals and reports for foundation funders and corporate partners.
  8. Design and implement and/or maintain a structured fund-raising recognition program as an aspect of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation's overall fundraising plan.


Administrative Duties

  1. Attend and present development updates at monthly Board meetings.
  2. Work very closely with staff members to establish, implement and maintain financial records associated with all activities pertaining to the fundraising efforts of the foundation and all grant compliance requirements as may be mandated by donating agency/organization.
  3. Record and maintain demographic and biographical information in the donor database.
  4. Enter contributions in donor database; send letters (form or custom) acknowledging donations including donor designated intentions for gifts.
  5. Coordinate all fundraising activities/meetings, etc. for Foundation Chair, Executive Director, and the Board of Trustees. And when necessary, represents the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation in meeting with potential funding sources.
  6. Maintains knowledge about the external environment as it relates to foundation projects and real estate issues.

REPORTS TO: Foundation’s Executive Director


Education:   BA in Communications, Business, or similar field. Masters a plus..

Experience: 5 to 10 years fundraising experience, including non-profits. Experience in the Central Florida area preferred.
