Role Description

The Special Events Assistant will represent the Adult Literacy League (ALL) by supporting the Chief Development Officer with all activities associated with special event fundraising, specifically for Reading between the Wines. 

Responsibilities

Provide special event support with Chief Development Officer on implementation, organization, donor, sponsor, silent auction item acquisition and correspondence for special events and donor stewardship

Required Skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with MSOffice 2016, particularly Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of office procedures and administration
  • Strong social media, web and Internet skills
  • Must be able to effectively multitask

Preferred Skills

  • College student
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Experience with website maintenance utilizing WordPress
  • Experience with Photoshop

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the Chief Development Officer

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the Special Projects Coordinator is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The work environment is well-lit and open. The work is sometimes performed under pressure when the stress of deadlines occurs.
