Social Media: Planning an Online Fundraising Campaign
What You Need to Do Before, During the Campaign, and After the Money is Raised

Sponsored by Chase

Nielsen’s Trust in Advertising 2013 survey reveals that consumers globally are increasingly turning to online media for more information about brands. Word-of-mouth recommendations from friends and family are still the most influential, with 84 percent of global respondents believing this to be the trust worthiest. So essentially, peer-to-peer is the most effective form of promotion or advertising and consumers are getting more information online.

What does this mean for your organization?

Join us for a luncheon presentation with special guest, Justin J. Ware, Director of Interactive Communication at Bentz Whaley Flessner located in Minneapolis, MN.

You will learn about the trends in online fundraising campaigns, or crowdfunding, and how to plan, execute, and follow through with a successful campaign. Who are your online ambassadors and why does this matter? What do you need to do to strengthen your brand and raise awareness for your cause? And just how does a one-off campaign become part of your annual giving program? Answers to these questions and more in this last installment of our 2013 Social Media Series sponsored by Chase.

Not yet convinced that online fundraising can work? The Social Side of Giving is a blog run (mostly) by our guest speaker, Justin Ware, that hosts discussions about Social Media and Fundraising. Florida State Wins Big with 36-hour Online Fundraising Campaign  is an example of a client Justin worked with here in our home state. This successful promotion – the FSU "Great Give” – proved that digital channels could translate into big savings and can move an organization away from relying as heavily on traditional, more expensive annual fund tactics like direct mail.

Join us for lunch and lively conversation!
