The Edyth Bush Institute’s Central Florida Nonprofit Compensation & Benefits Survey is the most comprehensive look at nonprofit salaries and benefits in the nonprofit sector regionally. The 2017 Survey Report will provide 10 years of data to the Central Florida nonprofit community.

 

Are we paying competitive salaries to retain our employees?

How do we compare to those at similar local organizations? What about bonuses and incentive pay?

Are more organizations planning to increase their salaries next year?

How do pay levels for male and female executive directors compare?

 

This resource will help you answer those questions. It provides vital insights into employee retention, turnover, paid-time-off (PTO), health insurance, retirement, and more. An organizational benchmarking tool, our last report compiled information on 8,000 salaries from organizations with budget sizes ranging from less than $100,000 to more than $15 million. 143 job titles in our sector were covered like CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Development Director, thrift store manager, volunteer coordinator, artistic director, and more.

 

Will you participate in the 2017 survey report to make this the strongest yet? Your participation will ensure a more accurate and reliable report to draw conclusions about our sector. Additionally, the information in the report is vital for organizations to use on the IRS Form 990, particularly for the executive compensation level section.

Early-Bird Deadline | Friday, March 24, 2017

(All organizations submitting a completed survey by the early-bird date will be entered into a drawing for one of the following: a catered meal for 20 from 4Rivers (valued at $220), a full-day Edyth Bush Institute workshop (one available), or a half-day Edyth Bush Institute workshop (five available).)

Who can participate? 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with at least one paid employee, operating within the counties of Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia are invited to participate with the exception of churches, schools, colleges/universities, hospitals and foundations.

 

Is my data confidential? Responses to this survey will be kept strictly confidential and the data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. The survey will be compiled and analyzed by our research-consultants, Nonprofit Compensation Associates, located in California. No one locally, including the staff of the Institute, will see the survey responses.

 

Who should fill out the report? The nonprofit administrator who handles the compensation and benefits for employees at the organization.

 

Is the report free? The report is a free online resource thanks to generous sponsors like Fairwinds Credit Union.

 

How long does the survey take to complete? The report, on average, takes 45 minutes, based on how readily you have the information available, the size of your organization, etc.

 

One of our participants in the 2015 survey shared “I can’t understand why any non-profit would not want to participate. The information provided is very valuable as a management tool to justify compensation and benefits.”

 

How many organizations participate? In 2015, we had 145 organizations participate. For the 2017 report, we hope to have 175+ organizations participate, and that you can be one of them!

 

More participation means more comprehensive data…but for what?

  2.  to plan annual operating budgets, analyze the jobs and compensation of existing staff, and create potential new positions;
