The Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College offers five certificate programs designed to assist nonprofit organizations, administrators, volunteers, and board members to operate more efficiently and effectively to extend scarce resources as they fulfill their mission. Certificate in Fundraising and Development
The Certificate in Fundraising and Development can help you advance in the field, achieve your career goals, and prepare you for leadership roles in nonprofit fundraising/development departments. The program offers training in fundraising fundamentals, major gifts, capital campaigns and planned giving.
Certificate in Leadership Practice
This certificate program convenes nonprofit professionals to discover and understand their personal leadership strengths and weaknesses and their applicability to the sector as a whole. Participants use self-assessment and feedback instruments to help identify critical behaviors and initiate personal development plans.
Certificate in Nonprofit Management
This certificate program provides a practical foundation for those pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector. Participants will receive a broad-based professional education on fundraising and business topics to equip them for leading nonprofit organizations.
Certificate in Proposal Writing
The Philanthropy Center’s proposal writing workshop series was carefully developed to be interactive through the use of speakers, group discussions, group exercises, and the completion of an actual proposal, which is peer-reviewed. This certificate offers the tools to develop carefully targeted, well-written proposals that make a compelling case for an organization and its mission.
Certificate in Volunteer Management
Volunteer managers focus on maximizing use of volunteers in their organizations. This certificate program teaches techniques for recruiting, training, placing, retaining and rewarding volunteers, and offers a process for creating a manual that includes all aspects of a successful volunteer program.
