PACE provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training, and advocacy.


Brief Description of Organization's Programs & Services

PACE Center for Girls Orange started in September 1991 as the 3rd PACE in Florida. Orange provides an educational and counseling program for girls’ ages 11-17 (7th to 12th grades) who are experiencing problems at their designated school, home, and in the community. Girls at Orange have experienced trauma from sexual abuse, emotional abuse, incarceration, physical abuse, substance usage, and more. These traumas manifests in each girl's life through anger, defiance, delinquency, low academic achievement, low self-esteem and additional negative behaviors.

What can this board position do for the applicant:

Serving on the Orange board can provide an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about improving lives of girls and young women ages 11-17 (7th to 12th grades). Board members are expected to be active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and be fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission.
